What started as the hobby of two teenage boys from Finland quickly evolved into Easy Anti-Cheat, the world's first proactive anti‑cheat client, which was used and relied on by almost all the Counter‑Strike leagues in the world.
That was big, but things were about to get even bigger
In 2013, sitting together in a hot Finnish sauna, the team decided to take things to the next level and create the industry-defining game security service. And with that, EasyAntiCheat Ltd was born.
The team headed to Stockholm and partnered up with one of the best game publishers out there: Paradox Interactive. With Paradox's support they turned EAC into a licensable service. After that, EAC quickly attracted other partnerships with high‑profile game developers and world‑class publishers. The game was now seriously on.
In 2017, Kamu Ltd was created as the parent company of EAC and today Kamu is the world's leading game security provider, handling over 80 games in collaboration with over 54 partners.
A lot has changed since 2006 (like we've got a way bigger office now), but the most important thing never has and never will. We're still friends who share a love of gaming and the world of game hacking. But instead of a couple of friends in Finland, today we're 29 people from 12 countries creating the tools and technology the world needs for fair, fun and beautiful gaming experiences.
The original Easy Anti-Cheat is launched. Developed for leagues and tournaments around Counter‑Strike 1.6.
The anti‑cheat modules are streamed to the client each time the game is started. Over the years this system grew into today‘s continuous integration system, offering constant re‑obfuscation and seamless deployment of updates.
From the beginning, the focus of all development has been on cheat prevention rather than detection, and we can proudly state that it’s the strongest of its kind today.
